Please note:
Due to extensive renovation measures, the BMW Welt will be closed for 5 weeks from January 7th, 2025!
This closure (until February 10, 2025) only affects the exhibitions at BMW Welt. The exhibitions in the BMW Museum are not affected by this!
BMW models are masterpieces. The BMW Art Cars are actually real works of art! Each one was designed by a world-famous artist. Whether it's Andy Warhol's BMW M1, Jenny Holzer and the BMW V12 LMR and the BMW 320i Turbo or Jeff Koon's BMW M3 GT2 – every single one has given its own signature artistic interpretation to the BMW design. In the permanent exhibition Art Cars at the BMW Museum discover BMW models as you haven't seen them before.

Art Car No. 17
Currently, you can find Art Car No. 17 by the American Pop Art artist Jeff Koons in the exhibition. The BMW M3 GT2 wants to express with every fibre of its bodywork: I am fast! The bright colour elements seem to fly by on this car. Even when stationary, this car looks as if it’s about to jump; it is bursting with power. In 2010, the vehicle took to the starting line at the Le Mans 24-hour race, where it was an absolute crowd-pleaser – another way that this Koons piece formed a bridge back to its predecessors in the BMW Art Car series.
