For an even better visitor and customer experience, BMW Welt will undergo extensive renovations and structural changes starting in early 2025. As a result, BMW Welt will be closed to the public for five weeks beginning January 7, 2025. During this closure period, vehicle deliveries will not take place. BMW Welt will reopen to visitors on February 10, 2025.
You can still visit the BMW Museum during the usual opening hours.

The BMW Museum Munich is located directly opposite the BMW Welt. Here you will discover the BMW brand from its beginnings to the present day as vibrant, awe-inspiring and diverse as nowhere else. Be surprised again and again by the vehicles, designs or prototypes that have made history in every new room you enter. The BMW Museum is as varied as its model range. Enjoy temporary exhibitions on different topics or visit the impressive permanent exhibition with milestones from 100 years of BMW Group history.

Arrival by car.
For all directions - remain on the autobahn until you reach the Mittlerer Ring (2R) exit. On the Mittlerer Ring, follow the signs to "Olympiapark / BMW Welt".
Once you have reached BMW Welt, please follow the signs to the underground parking garage. The parking garage has an entrance height of 2 meters. You are welcome to charge your electric vehicle at our charging stations on site with all charging card that are part of the e-commerce charging network. (Please note: Charging costs vary depending on the provider.) Parking fees in the parking garage can only be paid with EC and credit cards.
We recommend arriving by public transportation, as we cannot guarantee that parking spaces will be available.
Arrival by train.
From the main train station you can reach us by subway in only 15 to 20 minutes. Take the U2 in the direction of Feldmoching to the Scheidplatz stop. Change to the U3 in the direction of Moosach or the Olympia shopping centre (Olympiaeinkaufszentrum) and get off at the Olympiazentrum station. From here it is only a few more steps to the entrance of BMW Welt.
Arrival by plane.
The journey from Munich Airport (MUC) by rental car or taxi takes 30 to 40 minutes. You can also reach us conveniently by S-Bahn or U-Bahn in about 45 minutes. Take the S1 in the direction of Munich to the Moosach stop. Change to the U3 in the direction of Fürstenried West and get off at Olympiazentrum. From here it is only a few steps to the entrance of BMW Welt.

- We are expanding and modernizing 3 of our exhibition rooms. The kinetic sculpture and the "Atelier" room (from October 7th) and the "Encounters" room (from October 14th) are closed until shortly before Christmas due to renovation work. Parking garage notice: From Friday (March 8th) to Tuesday (March 12th), the parking area P2 in the parking garage will be closed. As an alternative parking option, the parking area in the Olympiapark is available.
